Dermot Hanrahan has been in the media business for 18 years. He brought radio station FM104 from “worst to first” in the Dublin market in the position of CEO, before selling the station in 2004. He remains actively involved, as a shareholder, in a number of radio stations in Ireland and the UK - he is Chairman of Red FM in Cork, a board member of the new quasi-national station 4FM, and a director of Folder Media which has been awarded 9 digital radio licences across the UK. Dermot is also Director of the new Dublin Radio station, Radio Nova, due to launch in 2010. He is the major shareholder and CEO of Electric Media – an online advertising sales company established in 2008 as a joint venture with the Irish Times Group. His other online interests include Entertainment.ie, where he is Executive Chairman. Dermot is also owner of Carlton Screen Advertising, Ireland’s largest cinema advertising company.
