The second annual UL Chancellor's Concert is scheduled to take place at the University on Wednesday, March 24th, 2010. This year's event will feature singer and song-writer, Paul Brady, along with Professor Mícheál Ó Súilleabháin, who is Founder/Director of the Irish World Academy and the Inaugural Chair of Music at UL. Mícheál will be accompanied by students of the Academy. The evening will comprise a black tie dinner in the University's Millstream Restaurant followed by the first ever concert in the newly constructed Irish World Academy of Music and Dance building. A post-concert reception will be held in the Millstream Common Room.
Proceeds from this year's fundraising event will benefit music scholarships for the Blás Summer School which is held annually at UL. We are pleased to announce that this popular event has already completely sold-out.
